Salmon and sweet potato fish cakes

 1 sweet potato, steamed and mashed
 200 g tinned salmon
 ¾ cup plain flour
 1 egg, whisked
 1 shallot, finely sliced
 1 tbsp Thai basil
 2 tsp fresh ginger, finely diced
 1 tsp minced garlic

Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until combined

Shape mixture into patties and cook in a lightly oiled fry pan (or bake in the oven)
